There is also the innovative ProShox technology which intensifies your workout with every step you take. Choose from 24 different ProShox intensity positions and you will achieve your weight loss goals. Also, featured in this powerful treadmill is the state-of-the-art iFit Live technology. With all the intense workout, your comfort is also given value through the ProTech cushioning system which reduces impact on your joint up to 15% as compared to walking on road. You will even have fun while burning calories through the iPod compatible port and the Intermix Acoustics 2.0 sound system. Added features of the ProForm XT 90 treadmill are the following: a powerful 2.0 chp motor, 18”x55” running treadbelt, an LCD Grafixx display, and a weight capacity of 325 lbs. Good points: iFit Live module is included though subscription is not Has an interesting incline range from 10% to 20% (first time we’ve seen this range) this is different to the normal 0% to 10%/12%/15%/30% that we’re used to seeing price point usually does not include 2 years parts warranty and iFit Live module Belt is unusually narrow at 18″ instead of the 20″ we’re used to seeing This type of treadmill combination with the unusual incline, shorter belt and sub par motor is potentially problematic Comments: The Proform XT 90 is one of the more interesting creations from Proform that we’ve seen in a while. For one, the motor/treadbelt/incline combination is one we haven’t seen yet. The motor’s horsepower rating is 2.0 CHP which is on the low end. The fact that the treadbelt is only 18″ wide was probably taken into consideration when Proform decided to use a less powerful motor.

Also the fact that the treadmill starts at an incline also lessens the load on the motor which again, allows them to use a less powerful motor than usual. However, because this is we believe their first foray into treadmills of this style, buyers should be cautious. There are no prior cases so though everything makes sense on paper, buying it could potentially lead to problems that we and the engineers at Proform did not forsee. But if you’re on the adventurous side, the above average warranty (for the price), the iFit Live module, the adjustable cushioning, and the above average weight capacity are all features that you usually don’t get for.
